The Founding Fathers of this Nation were intelligent and honorable men. They knew that in order for this country to survive, they must lead us with their wisdom, their courage, and their willingness to give their very lives for liberty and freedom from the tyrannous big government that ruled them. They documented their wisdom, fought side by side with their muskets and in some cases died for the cause. They did all of these things because they believed in every persons right to live in a free society that would allow every individual to succeed in whatever endeavor they chose to pursue. Their successes were only judged by how hard they were willing to work for their dreams. Without being stifled by the burdens of taxation, the people thrived and The United States became a beacon to all those that dared to dream of freedom.
Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits…. Thomas Jefferson
In the documents that our Founding Fathers left for us, they laid out the threats to freedom we would face if we sat idly by. They gave us a Republic and warned us that we must protect it from foreign and domestic threats. Yet we live not by the Republic but by the Democracy that we allowed to form utilizing the very documents that warned us against it.
A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine….Thomas Jefferson
A full thirteen months before the Declaration of Independence was written, The Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Picking Up Arms was written by the Continental Congress. And thank God it was. In it, the Congress explains why Americans were at war with the Constitutional Government. Our Founding Fathers new how important a well armed militia was to the security of the new nation and to mankind as well. Without the ability to pick up our arms, we are but “ducks on a pond”, defenseless against anything or anyone that threatens our lives. Be they foreign or domestic…..it is my right to protect myself and my family against any threat. It is a natural right. Not one given to me by any man but by God himself; the instant that I was conceived.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government….Thomas Jefferson
The Constitution was written basically to establish a government for the union of the states (The United States); thereby giving the government more authority over taxation. Sixteen of the fifty-nine of the Founding Fathers refused to sign the Constitution citing concerns over giving too much power to the newly formed government. And why would they want to do that after fighting so hard to get out from under just such a government. Those sixteen men, by refusing to sign the Constitution, tried to forewarn us of the dangers of empowering the government. They knew that power corrupts even the best of men and history has proven them to be right.
Sometimes it is said that man cannot be trusted with the government of himself. Can he, then be trusted with the government of others? Or have we found angels in the form of kings to govern him? Let history answer this question…. Thomas Jefferson
The Founding Fathers wanted to assure that the Government did not gain too much control of citizen’s lives, thus the Bill of Rights was created. A persons unalienable rights, or rights that existed before government was formed, may not be infringed upon. The freedom of speech and the right to bear arms are only two of those unalienable rights the bill addressed. But as citizens became more and more complacent, the government grew bigger and unchallenged thus ignoring or overriding our unalienable rights. Today, in our present administration there is a “czar” (Cass Sunstein), that actually believes we should do away with the Bill of Rights all together. He advocates the Second Bill of Rights. (Introduced by Franklin D. Roosevelt) Among these rights are a right to an education, a right to a home, a right to health care, and a right to protection against monopolies. Well those do not sound like God-given rights to me. They sound like more big government talking. And that was not our Founding Fathers intent…but it is what so many are trying to morph it into.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual…..Thomas Jefferson
Every freedom loving citizen in this country must arm themselves with the knowledge of the documents left to us by our brave Founding Fathers. We owe it to our children, ourselves and every American soldier that has fought and/or died for our rights to live our lives as we see fit. Not how Uncle Sam thinks we should live (or in come cases die). So prepare for the fight. Stay informed, read the Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Keep up with current affairs and get involved. It is not only your right it is your duty as an American. Our apathy has taken a back seat to a revival. Jump onboard and become a defender of liberty.
My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government……Thomas Jefferson
Above all else, pray for our country. We actually sat by while politicians took God out of every aspect of our daily lives. Shame on us all for “being too busy” to pay attention while special interest groups lobbied to change the structure of our Christian nation. Spineless politicians allowed gays, tree-huggers, and atheists, (among others) to spin, turn and twist our laws into unrecognizable drivel on paper. Those days are over. I only hope that God will have us back considering our lack of concern for the way he has been cast aside. That would be the worst thing that could ever happen to this country because without God, we are doomed to fail. And failure for The United States is not an option.
I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever……..Thomas Jefferson

Orange County, Texas...Will They Ever Have A Seawall
The last few days not only marked the anniversary of the day that changed our lives, September 11, 2001, but it also marked the anniversary of Hurricane Ike September 13, 2008. Ike was the third most destructive hurricane to make landfall in the U.S. He made landfall over Galveston, Texas as a category 2 hurricane with a category 4 equivalent storm surge. The storm surge reached as high as 20 feet and hurricane force winds extended 120 miles from the center.
While most of the media attention was focused on Galveston and/or the Bolivar Peninsula, people in Orange County, TX were struggling silently. Jefferson County (where I live) is neighbor to Orange County so needless to say; many of our friends and co-workers lost everything that they had. We, Jefferson County, were only spared because of the seawall and floodgates that have been in place here for as long as I can remember. Everyone knew that most of the folks in Orange County may not have lost their homes had they too had a wall in place. So today when Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson announced this huge coastal protection project, $135.4 million, I had to wonder why no one has tried to acquire funds to build a wall in Orange County.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with Patterson’s coastal protection plans, other than accepting matching funds from the Federal Government. We have needed to take action on coastal erosion for a long time. I am only curious as to why Orange has yet to take steps towards protecting their citizens a little better.

A big Texas-sized “Thank you” to Senators Cornyn and Hutchison for upholding the wishes of those that you represent. As for Lugar, Snowe, Collins, Voinovich, Bennet and Hatch….you can start packing now.
Okay, you know what to do….call, write, fax and email your representatives. Let them know that we mean business. It’s their jobs at stake in 2010 but more importantly, it’s the American way of life at stake.

Near The Head of The Snake
Just another reason that we can’t let up on the White House……
Once again, I am so proud of the American people for standing up and letting your voices be heard. Thanks to all of the citizen uproar (and Glenn Beck), Van Jones has resigned. But, our job is far from over. There are other czars, as well as those that appointed them, that need to go.
Van Jones's "czar" job was created by the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement. The Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement is Valerie Jarrett. She is also the person that interviewed Jones for the position of “green job czar”. In speeches before far-left groups In the past, Jarrett touted Jones's hiring, in part, because the groups, many of which count 9/11 truthers and radical environmentalists and anti-capitalists as members, were familiar with Jones's brand of anti-Americanism and economic radicalism. Jones was considered a critical member of the administration, in part, because he was so well known and respected in the radical-left world the administration is counting on to help with issues like health care and cap and tax, and, more importantly, campaign efforts in 2010.
Valerie Jarrett is one of Obama's longest serving advisors and confidantes and was "widely tipped for a high-profile position in an Obama administration. On November 14, 2008, President-elect Barack Obama selected Jarrett to serve as White House Senior Advisor and for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs. She also chairs the White House Commission on Women and Girls.
But, there are a few things not readily available if you read Jarrett’s resume. You won’t find any information about her involvement in Michelle Obama’s patient-dumping scheme at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where Jarrett sat of the board of directors. Nor will you read about Jarrett’s involvement in Grove Parc….a Chicago slum complex managed by Jarrett’s company, Habitat, Inc.
Another controversial member of Obama’s administration approved my “Val” is Jameel Jaffer, who runs the ACLU's "national security project," to the White House Ramadan. Jaffer, a Canadian citizen, attended the dinner, which President Obama held for American Muslims. (As an American taxpayer, that really ticks me off!!)
The far left is Ga-Ga for Jaffer for his career of litigating “against” the United States in support of terrorists and radical Islamists, and has proudly touted his awards from groups like CAIR an American Muslim organization. I have attached their link at the bottom. Check out who is groveling at Jaffer’s feet.
Jaffer has filed lawsuits challenging the FBI's "national security letter" authority, the constitutionality of warrantless wiretaps, and has been a leader in pushing for the shut down of Guantánamo Bay, and providing legal rights to terrorists held by the United States overseas in such countries as Iraq and Afghanistan. His efforts enabled the leaking of "torture photos" out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and some sources inside the Central Intelligence Agency believe he was one of the lawyers who provided legal advice to the Department of Justice to pursue an investigation into enhanced interrogation techniques used by the CIA. I for one cannot believe that this person is still allowed to live in this country if he hates it so much, let alone, work for our government.
Jarrett's office also was influential in advocating for the creation of a "chief diversity officer" (CDO) at the Federal Communications Commission, as well as numerous other senior positions on regulatory and advisory commissions within the federal government bureaucracy. Enter the new FCC CDO, Mark Lloyd.
Lloyd's job is, in part, to look for ways to create more "diversity" in media ownership, a policy approach that is viewed as a backdoor way to put in place a kind of "Fairness Doctrine." Say bye-bye freedom of speech.
"If you can't get Congress to act on the Fairness Doctrine, the FCC can a in recruiting Obama friend Cass Sunstein, a former colleague of the president's at the University of Chicago Law School, and now administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs within the Office of Management and Budget. Known inside the White House as the "Regulation Czar," Sunstein is tasked with developing regulations around the policies for environmental, healthcare, and safety issues.
According to administration sources, Sunstein's office is looking for ways to impose through the regulatory process those Obama White House health care, environmental, and labor policies that do not survive the legislative process.
"The goal from this White House is to have as much nonspecific language passed by Congress in policy areas like health care and the environment and then use Sunstein's office to put in place the regulatory language called for by Congress that gets us to where we want to be. It may very well be the most important job in this administration, given the lack of success we may have on Capitol Hill," says a White House source.
Wow, isn’t that good to know? Like I said in the beginning of this post…..Our job as American citizens is far from over. There are others in this administration that must be booted out the door. The American way of life is at stake as long as they are in place. So get back on the phones, the emails and the faxes. We can’t let up now. Remind your representatives that 2010 is creeping up and we are ready to vote them out.

Introducing Communist Van Jones
One would have to wonder why in the world the President of the United States of America would appoint a self-proclaimed communist and black nationalist as his “green” job czar. Obviously it is all part of his plan for “change” in America and our policies. Well with radicals like Van Jones and Jeremiah Wright by his side, Obama’s “change” can’t be too good for any of us.
Below is an article from the American Spectator about Van Jones and his radical affiliations.
AmSpecBlog
Van Jones and His STORMtroopers Denounced America the Night After 9/11
By Matthew Vadum on 8.29.09 @ 2:01AM
Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), the revolutionary group formed by self-described "communist" and "rowdy black nationalist" Van Jones, held a vigil in Oakland, California, "mourning the victims of U.S. imperialism around the world" on the night after Sept. 11, 2001.
The reason this is important is because Van Jones is now President Obama's green jobs czar. He does not appear to have distanced himself from his past communist activities and is now part of the Obama administration's push to turn Sept. 11 into a National Day of Service focused on the promotion of the radical environmentalist agenda.
The vigil was reported by World Net Daily which excerpted parts of a history of the now-disbanded group.
Apparently, after the WND article was posted online, the website on which the original document was posted was overwhelmed by visitors and unavailable. I found the article in the "Way Back Machine" website (web.archive.org), an archival resource. The 2004 document, called "Reclaiming Revolution: history, summation & lessons from the work of Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM)," may be found on the archival site here. (In case that becomes unavailable, the document "Reclaiming Revolution" is available at the link embedded in this sentence.)
Jones also founded the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, which joined in the vigil according to an Ella Baker Center press release from 2001. The press release contained this passage that quoted Jones:
"Anti-Arab hostility is already reaching a fever pitch as pundits and common people alike rush to judgment that an Arab group is responsible for this tragedy," said Van Jones, national executive director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. "We fear that an atmosphere is being created that will result in official and street violence against Arab men, women and children."
"Reclaiming Revolution" also blamed the U.S. for 9/11. A passage on page 45 (27 of the PDF file) reads:
That night, STORM and the other movement leaders expressed sadness and anger at the deaths of innocent working class people. We were angry, first and foremost, with the U.S. government, whose worldwide aggression had engendered such hate across the globe that working class people were not safe at home. We honored those who had lost their lives in the attack -- and those who would surely lose their lives in subsequent U.S. attacks overseas.
Below is another article on the history of Obama’s Czar Jones written by Aaron Klein.
Green czar Van Jones' radical history
Van Jones, the man appointed as "green jobs czar" to the White House, previously served on the board of an environmental activist group at which a founder of the Weather Underground terrorist organization is a top director.
WND previously reported Jones was as an admitted radical communist and black nationalist leader.
He was appointed to serve as the special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. According to the White House blog, Jones' duties include helping to craft job-generating climate policy and to ensure equal opportunity in the administration's energy proposals.
Jones, formerly a self-described "rowdy black nationalist," boasted in a 2005 interview with the left-leaning East Bay Express that his environmental activism was a means to fight for racial and class "justice."
Jones was president and founder of Green For All, a nonprofit organization that advocates for building a so-called inclusive green economy. Until recently, Jones was a longtime member of the board of Apollo Alliance, a coalition of labor, business, environmental and community leaders that claims on its website to be "working to catalyze a clean energy revolution that will put millions of Americans to work in a new generation of high-quality, green-collar jobs." Although influential, Apollo has only 14 state affiliates nationwide. Its New York office is directed by Jeff Jones, a top founding member of the Weather Underground radical organization.
In 1969, Jeff Jones founded the Weathermen with terrorists Bill Ayers and Mark Rudd when the three signed an infamous statement calling for a revolution against the American government inside and outside the country to fight and defeat what the group called U.S. imperialism. President Obama came under fire for his longtime, extensive association with Ayers. Jeff Jones was a main leader and orchestrator of what became known as the Days of Rage, a series of violent riots in Chicago organized by the Weathermen. The culmination of the riots came when he gave a signal for rowdy protestors to target a hotel that was the home of a local judge presiding over a trial of anti-war activists. .
Jeff Jones went underground after he failed to appear for a March 1970 court date to face charges of "crossing state lines to foment a riot and conspiring to do so." He moved to San Francisco with Ayers' wife, Bernardine Dorhn. That year, at least one bombing claimed by the Weathermen went off in Jones' locale at the Presidio Army base.
Jones' Weathermen would take credit for multiple bombings of U.S. government buildings, including attacks against the U.S. Capitol March 1, 1971; the Pentagon May 19, 1972, and a 1975 bombing of the State Department building.
Jeff Jones did not return WND phone and e-mail requests for comment.
White House adviser Van Jones, meanwhile, is not impartial to radical activism.
He was a founder and leader of the communist revolutionary organization Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM. The organization had its roots in a grouping of black people organizing to protest the first Gulf War. STORM was formally founded in 1994, becoming one of the most influential and active radical groups in the San Francisco Bay area.
STORM worked with known communist leaders. It led the charge in black protests against various issues, including a local attempt to pass Proposition 21, a ballot initiative that sought to increase the penalties for violent crimes and require more juvenile offenders to be tried as adults.
The leftist blog Machete 48 identifies STORM's influences as "third-worldist Marxism (and an often vulgar Maoism)."
Speaking to the East Bay Express, Van Jones said he first became radicalized in the wake of the 1992 Rodney King riots, during which time he was arrested.
"I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th," he said. "By August, I was a communist."
"I met all these young radical people of color – I mean really radical: communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.' I spent the next 10 years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary," he said.
Trevor Loudon, a communist researcher and administrator of the New Zeal blog, identified several Bay Area communists who worked with STORM, including Elizabeth Martinez, who helped advise Jones' Ella Baker Human Rights Center, which Jones founded to advocate civil justice. Jones and Martinez also attended a "Challenging White Supremacy" workshop together.
Martinez was a long time Maoist who went on to join the Communist Party USA breakaway organization Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, or CCDS, in the early 1990s, according to Loudon. Martinez still serves on the CCDS council and is also a board member of the Movement for a Democratic Society, where she sits alongside former Weathermen radicals Ayers and Dorhn.
One of STORM's newsletters featured a tribute to Amilcar Cabral, the late Marxist revolutionary leader of Guinea-Bissau and the Cape Verde Islands.
The tribute is noteworthy because Jones reportedly named his son after Cabral and reportedly concludes every e-mail with a quote from the communist leader.
So Cory Heidelberger needs to understand that the use of communisim and Marxism is not about Google juice, it is the true ideological foundation to Barack Obama's political agenda. It is about time America becomes educated on what are the ingredients in the Progressive's Kool-Aid. The brown shirts are now on the Obama supporters' backs.
Well there you have it America. A real, live communist is working alongside the President of our country. Trust me when I tell you that he isn’t the only one. Barry is strategically placing others just like Jones in positions that the American citizens don’t even know about. They too will rear their ugly heads. We just have to be ready when they do.

Will Cubas Politics Become Our Own?
At the rate the Obama administration is pushing legislation through Congress, we, the Unted States, may not be that far from becoming just like Cuba. We all know that certain members of his entourage and administration are self-proclaimed communists/Marxists. Most of the bills that they are proposing take control out of the hands of individuals and into the hands of the government. Everyone should probably buy a copy of the Constitution as it is written now because before long it might become obsolete. If Obama has his way, it may be structured more like Cuba’s.
Cuba is constitutionally defined as a "socialist state guided by the principles of José Martí, and the political ideas of Marx, Engels and Lenin." The present Constitution also ascribes the role of the Communist Party of Cuba to be the "leading force of society and of the state."
Cuba is the only authoritarian country in the Americas, according to the 2008 Democracy Index. Cuba's extensive censorship system was close to North Korea on the 2008 Press Freedom Index. The media is operated under the Communist Party’s Department of Revolutionary Orientation, which "develops and coordinates propaganda strategies". According to Maria Werlau, the extreme concentration of power to Castro family seems comparable in modern times only to that of North Korea under the regimes of Kim Jong Il and Kim Il Sung.
Executive power is exercised by the Cuban Government, which is represented by the Council of State and the Council of Ministers. Legislative power is exercised through the unicameral National Assembly of People's Power, which is constituted as the maximum authority of the state. Currently Raúl Castro — brother of former President Fidel Castro — is President of the Council of State, President of the Council of Ministers (sometimes referred to as the Prime Minister), First Secretary of the Communist Party, and Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Armed Forces. Ricardo Alarcón is President of the National Assembly
Since attaining its independence from Spain, Cuba has had five constitutions. The current constitution was drafted in 1976 and has since been amended.
1976 Constitution
After consolidating power, the revolutionary government of Cuba sought to institutionalize the revolution. The Socialist Constitution of 1976 was adopted by the national referendum on February 15. This document came into effect on February 24, 1976. This constitution provided for a system of government and law based on those of the Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc countries.
Original provisions:
This constitution called for a centralized control of the market, and committed the State to providing its citizens with access to free education and health care. It also required that parents, regardless of their own beliefs, inculcate their children with socialist values. The state had the power to regulate the activities of religious institutions on the island, and the private ownership of media companies was forbidden.
Later amendments
In the late 1980s, as the Eastern Bloc collapsed, the laws of Cuba changed again to respond to the new conditions of the Special Period. Because of a need for foreign direct investment, the Constitutional amendments of 1992 granted foreign corporations a limited right to own property on the island if they took part in joint ventures with the government. It also provided for non-discrimination based on religious belief (i.e., allowing persons with religious belief to join the Communist Party of Cuba).
In 2002, the Cuban Constitution was again amended to stipulate that the socialist system was permanent and irrevocable.
