With all of the talk about ObamaCare and the “Cap and Trade” tax, not much attention is directed toward the war in Afghanistan. Please take a few minutes out of your day to pray for our brave men and women that are fighting so hard in a land so far away. They are all that stands between us and the bad guys. If you feel so inclined, you might even put pen to paper and send a few of them a letter of your appreciation. Perhaps a care package with a few goodies from home would be nice. I know that whatever you can do would be appreciated and make them feel a little closer to home. Please consider taking time out for a soldier today….they are taking on much more than we can even imagine.
God Bless you all, God Bless our soldiers and God Bless the United States of America.
(Don’t forget to keep all of our soldiers families in your prayers as well. They are sacrificing so much as well.)
I have listed a few sites that offer to send letters and packages to our soldiers. Please take some time out of your day to tell them thanks for all that they do.

Where Do You Fall
So, you think you know where you stand, politically.
Think again.
The result from this short test may surprise you and give you some food for thought. You'll be asked just 10 questions, and then it instantly tells you where you stand politically. It shows your position as a red dot on a "political map" so you'll see exactly where you score. The most interesting thing about the Quiz is that it goes beyond the Democrat, Republican, and Independent. The Quiz has gotten a lot of praise. The Washington Post said it has "gained respect as a valid measure of a person's politicall leanings." The Fraser Institute said it's "a fast, fun, and accurate assessment of a person's overall political views." Suite University said it is the "most concise and accurate political quiz out there."

Peace In The Mid-East?
The article below was posted on the Drudge Report yesterday. Please read it carefully and try to remember each party in play. Pay special attention to the portions of the second article that are underlined. After you have soaked in what this article has to report, read the article below it. Again pay close attention as you scour the words. Is it just me or do you see a very eerie pattern between the two? It all seems to flow together with my earlier questions about the “Strategy of a Madman”. (http://timeforareckoning.blogspot.com/)
Barack Obama on brink of deal for Middle East peace talks

guardian.co.uk, Tuesday 25 August 2009 20.00 BST
Article history
Barack Obama is close to brokering an Israeli-Palestinian deal that will allow him to announce a resumption of the long-stalled Middle East peace talks before the end of next month, according to US, Israeli, Palestinian and European officials.
Key to bringing Israel on board is a promise by the US to adopt a much tougher line with Iran over its alleged nuclear weapons program. The US, along with Britain and France, is planning to push the United Nations Security Council to expand sanctions to include Iran's oil and gas industry, a move that could cripple its economy.
In return, the Israeli government will be expected to agree to a partial freeze on the construction of settlements in the Middle East. In the words of one official close to the negotiations: "The message is: Iran is an existential threat to Israel; settlements are not."
Details of the breakthrough deal will be hammered out tomorrow in London, where the Israeli Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, is due to hold talks with the US special envoy, George Mitchell. Netanyahu met Gordon Brown today in Downing Street, where the two discussed both settlements and the Iranian nuclear program.
Although the negotiations are being held in private, they have reached such an advanced stage that both France and Russia have approached the US offering to host a peace conference.
Obama has penciled in the announcement of his breakthrough for either a meeting of world leaders at the UN general assembly in New York in the week beginning 23 September or the G20 summit in Pittsburgh on 24-25 September.
The president, who plans to make his announcement flanked by Netanyahu and the Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas – plus the leaders of as many Arab states as he can muster – hopes that a final peace agreement can be negotiated within two years, a timetable viewed as unrealistic by Middle East analysts.
Obama had hoped to unveil his plans before the start of Ramadan last weekend but failed to complete the deal with the Israelis or the Arab states in time.
As well as a tougher US approach to Iran, which the Israelis see as their top priority, the deal would see Israel offering a temporary and partial moratorium on the expansion of settlements on the West Bank in return for moves by Arab states towards normalization of relations. This would allow Obama to announce talks on the bigger Israeli-Palestinian issues – borders, the future of Jerusalem and the future of Palestinian refugees – with the US sitting in as a mediator.
After the meeting at No 10 today, Netanyahu said he was hopeful that a compromise would be reached to allow the peace process to restart while Israeli settlers could "continue living normal lives". Brown said he emerged from the talks more optimistic about Middle East peace. He also pledged that if there were no immediate progress on the Iranian nuclear impasse, further sanctions would be "a matter of priority".
Although Netanyahu told his cabinet before leaving Israel that the deal would not be sealed in London tomorrow, he and Mitchell are now down to the fine detail.
Israel is offering a nine- to 12-month moratorium on settlement building that would exclude East Jerusalem and most of the 2,400 homes that Israel says work has already begun on.
Ian Kelly, a US state department spokesman, on Monday reflected the increasing optimism within the Obama administration, saying "we're getting closer to laying this foundation" for the resumption of talks.
Another official closely involved in the discussions said: "It has been pretty hard going but we are getting there. We are closer to a deal with the Israelis than many think. The Arabs are more difficult to pin down."
If Iran does not respond to UN demands that it stop enriching uranium by time of the UN and G20 summits, the US, Britain and France are to lead a UN security council push to expand sanctions, expected to target Iran's dependence on imports of refined petroleum products and its reliance on foreign technology to develop its oil and gas industry.
Russia and China are expected to object to such punitive measures, and any western attempt to enforce a partial embargo threatens to breach the broad international consensus on handling Iran.
A report on the Iranian program by the UN's nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), due to be published by the end of this week, will be crucial in setting the scene for such sanctions, and the outgoing IAEA director general, Mohamed ElBaradei, has come under intense western pressure to make the report sharply critical of Tehran.
Israel, in return for a deal on settlements, is seeking not only a tougher line over Iran but normalization of relations with Arab states, such as over flight rights for its airline El Al, establishment of trade offices and embassies, and an end to the ban on travelers with Israeli stamps in their passports.
Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco have so far tentatively agreed. Saudi Arabia has refused, saying Israel has had enough concessions.
But the US is taking comfort from the fact that, crucially, Saudi Arabia has not tried to block other Arab states from signing up. "They may come on board last, but they will come on board," a European official said.
A coalition of Arab states, thought to include the Saudis, has been in secret contact with Israel to discuss what they see as a common threat posed by Iran.
Is peace in the Middle East possible - History and the Bible team up to answer that question?
By: Michael Bresciani
I watched one day as a news reporter interviewed a Muslim student in the lecture hall of one of America’s most prestigious schools. The young man was adorned with a silk headpiece and appeared to come from a very wealthy Arab family I supposed. When asked whether Israel had a right to live in peace in the land that they now held as their homeland he became flustered and indignant. He said, “Who is Israel and what history do they have, who ever heard of Israel before now.”His ignorance of Israel’s long history in the land they now possess together with the poor reflection he gave of his schools academics left me in amazement. Yet this is more typical than anyone might suspect. The average American other than those who have attended Bible College or seminary has little or no knowledge of Middle Eastern history.Israeli and Arab history is inexplicably linked to the history and well being of all other nations around the globe. History and Bible prophecy are together both a look into the past and a far reaching view of the future. When in 1948 Israel returned to its former ancient homeland and then took back Jerusalem in 1967 from its enemies who outnumbered them twenty to one she broke every record in the history of our world. No nation has returned to its former geographical boundaries after being subject to another nation or dispersed for more than fifty years and become a free and independent nation again, except Israel.>From the days of Abraham and down through the Golden Era of Israel and up to the present time the message of the prophets and now the historical record have spoken with one voice to warn the world and to bring to fruition every major prophecy in the Bible. So what is that message?Put simply, the Bible says that when Israel occupies her original homeland and Jerusalem that there is but one generation left to man before the Lord Jesus Christ returns. Starting after the six day war after which Israel took Jerusalem back the clock has begun ticking. Sadly, this is not a promise of peace for Israel or any of the nations. Rather it is the signal of several more events that will rock the world. At about the same time Israel regains nationhood the Bible says that a great world power will begin forming within the same geographical boundaries as the old Roman Empire. The EU or European Union began forming about 1955 and unknown to the average person today is becoming the greatest block of nations ever seen in the history of the world. It presently controls almost half the worlds shipping, has a gross national product three times greater than the United States and when military might is finally melded together will without doubt be the most powerful entity in the modern era.It is from that new power that the fiercest and most successful dictator the world has ever known will emerge. He is a political and military genius that swoops upon the entire world with an economic system that will draw in every nation, tongue and tribe of the earth. He will make Hitler look like a choir boy and he will succeed with such speed that no one will form any resistance at all before he has the world reeling. The Bible does not specifically name this final dictator but he is well known worldwide as the Antichrist. (see end paragraph)What does all that mean to the Middle East…plenty? When Israel missed the time of her visitation (first coming of Christ) her prophets had already foretold that she would be dispersed throughout the world and hunted and killed as outcasts. History has already told us that part of the story. Approaching the last generation her prophets told that she would be drawn and gathered from all over the world back to her homeland although still hated and harassed by all her neighbors and enemies. The wars and skirmishes will continue and for a short time with the help of the Antichrist Israel will know a few years of relative peace. Finally the Antichrist will show his true colors to the world and Israel will not escape. She will be taken over and other nations will trample through Jerusalem for three and one half years. When the final push comes Israel will be defended and delivered by the Saviour she rejected.Peace in the Middle East? Yes but not until all the history has run its course and the prophecy which is after all only pre-written history is fulfilled.

I told you it was eerie. Do you know the name referred to in the article? It is stated that “he will succeed with such speed that no one will form any resistance at all”. Well that would explain why he is pushing Congress to speed through all of his bills. Of course it also says that he is a political and military genius...Ha. Politcal maybe, but military, I doubt it. The second article also states that“with the help of the Antichrist, Israel will know a few years of relative peace”. According to the first article, “Barack Obama on brink of deal for Middle East peace talks” he is on his way to helping Israel have relative peace. Hmmm….Just a few coincidences? Could be. I reckon only God knows.
Heck, maybe I am imagining all of this but I have accused Obama of wanting to rule the world from the beginning. He has been groomed for this position all of his life. I never wanted to face the possibility of my true fear. The fear that he may actually be “the one”. No, not the Mesiah. Those of us that know The Lord know better than that. “The one” that comes back first. Remember Jeremiah Wright? Obamas mentor and pastor all of those years. The same Wright that in a sermon referred to Israel as that “dirty word” and stated that “they have illegally occupied Palestine territories for over 40 years now”? Yeah, that Wright. I believe it was he that said that Barack was born to be in this position. Well perhaps Wright knew it all along.
Keep the faith and keep calling, emailing and faxing your representatives. We may go down but we will not go down quietly!!

Texas Race For Governor (Kay Bailey Hutchison)
It is now time to take a peek at the second candidate in the race for the office of Governor of the Great State of Texas….Kay Bailey Hutchison. Again, I realize that there are other candidates in the running but I am focusing on the two that I expect to be put up a real Texas fight. Respectfully I hope…No mud slinging you two. That is just so unbecoming.
Hutchison was born in Galveston to the former Kathryn Ella Sharp and Allan Abner Bailey, Jr.,] an insurance agent. She has two brothers, Allan and Frank. Hutchison grew up in La Marque, Texas.
She married her first husband, John Pierce Parks, a medical student, on April 8, 1967; they divorced in 1969.[3] She married her second husband, in Dallas, Ray Hutchison, on March 16, 1978. They have two adopted children: Kathryn Bailey and Houston Taylor, both adopted in 2001. She also has two stepdaughters, Brenda and Julie, from her husband's previous marriage. Ray Hutchison is a former member of the Texas Legislature and ran an unsuccessful bid for the Texas governorship, having lost the Republican nomination in 1978 to Bill Clements of Dallas. He is a senior partner with the law firm of Vinson & Elkins.
Senator Hutchison and her family have their primary residence in Dallas, where her children attend school. She has a second house in Virginia, where she lives when the Senate is in session.
She is a supporter of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation where she is an honorary board member.
She received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1962, where she was a cheerleader and a sister of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1967. Following her graduation from law school, she was the legal and political correspondent for KPRC-TV in Houston. Hired by Ray Miller, host of the long-running The Eyes of Texas anthology series, Hutchison was the first female onscreen newswoman in Texas.
In 1972, Hutchison was elected to the Texas House of Representatives from a district in Houston. She served until 1976. She was vice-chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board from 1976 to 1978. She was a candidate for election to the United States House of Representatives in 1982 for the Dallas-based 3rd District, but was defeated in the primary by Steve Bartlett. She temporarily left politics and became a bank executive and businesswoman.
In 1993, by special election, Hutchison became the first woman to represent Texas in the U.S. Senate. During the campaign her opponent, Krueger, charged that Hutchison was a "country club Republican" and insensitive to the feelings of minorities. In January, the Houston Chronicle reported that both Hutchison and Fields had promised to serve a maximum of two six-year terms in the Senate as part of her support for term limit legislation for members of Congress. In April, the Dallas Morning News reported that Hutchison had repeated her pledge to serve only two terms in the U.S. Senate, if elected, and had also said term limits ought to cover all senators, including Senator Phil Gramm (R-TX), who had been elected in 1984 and re-elected in 1990. (He would stay in the Senate until 2002.) The term-limits legislation never passed, and Hutchison has said that she would not leave the Senate in the absence of such legislation, because doing so would unilaterally hurt Texas at the expense of other states in the seniority-driven institution.
Shortly after the special election victory, Travis County authorities, led by Democratic district attorney Ronnie Earle, raided Hutchison's offices at the State Treasury looking for proof of allegations that Hutchison used state equipment and employees on state time to help with her campaign. She was indicted by a grand jury in September 1993 for official misconduct and records tampering.
The case against Hutchison was heard before State District Judge John Onion in February, 1994. Earle declined to proceed with his case. Though he had intended to continue the case later, Onion declined to give Earle that opportunity. The judge instead swore in a jury and immediately ordered the panel to acquit Hutchison when no evidence had been presented to them by Earle. The acquittal barred any future prosecution of Hutchison.
The National Journal ranked Hutchison as follows in its 2004 rankings, which are based on various key votes relating to economic policy, social policy, and foreign policy: "Economic: 26% Liberal, 73% Conservative; Social: 38% Liberal, 60% Conservative; Foreign: 0% Liberal, 67% Conservative. Although a loyal Conservative Republican she has been known to cross over to the other side on a few issues. She is more likely to do this than either Phil Gramm or his successor John Cornyn." A poll that was released on June 19, 2007, shows that Hutchison has an approval rating of 58%, with 34% disapproving.
Hutchison supports the legality of abortion but has frequently voted for restricting abortion. Hutchison has often been rated highly by pro-life organizations receiving a 94% rating from the National Right to Life Committee. She is opposed to taxpayer-funded abortion and supports restrictions such as parental notification and making it illegal to transport a minor across state lines in order to circumvent parental notification laws. She also believes that the decision of the United States Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade was appropriate and should not be overturned, but is opposed to the Freedom of Choice Act because it would restrict the right of states to impose restrictions on abortion.
Hutchison proposed the "District of Columbia Personal Protection Act," which drew 31 cosponsors in the United States Senate, while drawing 157 cosponsors from the House. This bill would have protected gun rights of DC citizens by dismantling the handgun bans the city had for thirty years. DC's law states that one may possess a rifle or shotgun as long as they are disassembled and inoperative, but not pistols. The law was recently struck down in a U.S. Supreme Court ruling, District of Columbia v. Heller.
Hutchison is a strong supporter of single-sex education (boys and girls in separate rooms) in public schools. In 2001, she worked with Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) to write provisions into the No Child Left Behind Act (specifically sections 5131.a.23 and 5131c) authorizing single-sex education in public schools. Section 5131c required the Department of Education to write new regulations facilitating single-sex classrooms; this provision led to the publication of new regulations by the Department of Education in 2006 which do in fact facilitate single-sex education in public schools. She is a supporter of the U.S. Public Service Academy.
In 2006, Hutchison received more campaign contributions from members of large oil and gas corporations than any other member of Congress. In 2005, Hutchison voted against prohibiting oil leasing in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and has supported legislation promoting drilling in the refuge in 2002 and 2003. In 2005 she also voted against including oil and gas smokestacks in the Environmental Protection Agency's mercury regulations. In 1999, she voted to remove funding for renewable and solar energy, although she has more recently stated she supports the development of alternative energy sources. According to the League of Conservation Voters environmental scorecard, Hutchison received a rating of zero — the lowest possible score — in the 104th Congress. However, they have since upgraded her to a grade of 18% in the 110th Congress.
On border control, Senator Hutchison supports local consultation between communities along the border and the Department of Homeland Security to determine what type of fencing and security measures make sense in particular areas based on what those officials see on the ground. She has stated that bureaucrats in Washington are hardly positioned to determine the most effective measures, which areas of the border are experiencing the most significant problems, and how construction of the fence will impact local communities.
As for term limits, Senator Hutchison has proposed limiting Texas governors to two four-year terms. Apparently term limits do not apply to her as she has been a representative since 1993. But, in her defense, unless they pass an amendment stating all representatives have to abide by a maximum, two-term limit, I wouldn’t leave willingly either.
Hopefully we now have a little more insight into the two candidates that I expect to give us the tightest race for Governor in November 2010. I am sure as election day grows near we will learn even more than we care to know about these two. But as I am sure you know, running the greatest state in the nation is a very serious matter. We can’t trust just anyone to it. I personally feel that Governor Perry has done a fine job. The Texas economy has surpassed the entire country’s economy. Our CHIPS program has been wonderful, we have no state income tax….heck, I could go on and on. And as for Mrs. Hutchison, she has represented us wonderfully in Washington. I have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for her. So in my opinion, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Let’s just leave things the way they are and keep moving Texas forward.

Texas Race For Governor (Rick Perry)
With a much anticipated race for Governor in the Great State of Texas, I thought it might be worthwhile to reintroduce ourselves to the top two candidates. (The top two in my opinion anyway) First, with the help of wikipedia.org, let’s have a look at our present Governor, Rick Perry.
A fifth-generation Texan, Perry was born in tiny Paint Creek, about 60 miles (97 km) north of Abilene in West Texas, to ranchers Joseph Ray Perry and the former Amelia June Holt. His father, a Democrat, was a long-time Haskell County commissioner and school board member. Perry graduated from Paint Creek High School. As a child, Perry was in the Boy Scouts (BSA) and earned the rank of Eagle Scout, as his son, Griffin, would also later become an Eagle Scout. The BSA honored Perry with the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award.
Perry attended Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and one of A&M's 5 male cheerleaders (called "yell leaders" at Texas A&M). He graduated in 1972 with a degree in animal science. While at Texas A&M University Perry successfully completed a static line skydive at Ags Over Texas (a United States Parachute Association dropzone), the dropzone that was then in operation at Coulter Field (KCFD) in Bryan, Texas, just north of Texas A&M (in College Station, Texas).
Upon graduation, he was commissioned in the United States Air Force, completed pilot training and flew C-130 tactical airlift in the United States, the Middle East, and Europe until 1977. He left the Air Force with the rank of captain, returned to Texas and went into business farming cotton with his father.
Considering what is happening in our country today in regards to health care reform, this may be of interest to everyone…..Early in his term as governor Perry worked to make health care more accessible. He pushed through the State Children's Health Insurance Program designed to insure 500,000 children and convinced the state Legislature to increase health funding by $6 billion. Some of these programs have since faced funding problems. He also increased school funding prior to the 2002 election and created new scholarship programs to help needy children, including $300 million for the Texas GRANT Scholarship Program. Some $9 billion was allocated to Texas public schools, colleges, and universities and combined with a new emphasis on accountability for both teachers and students.
Another element of Perry's platform has been tort reform; as lieutenant governor he had tried and failed to place a limit on class action awards and allowing plaintiffs to distribute awards among several liable sources. In 2003, Perry sponsored a controversial state constitutional amendment to cap medical malpractice rewards; this proposal was narrowly approved by voters.
This legislation has resulted in a decrease in malpractice insurance rates and a marked increase in the number of doctors seeking certification to practice in Texas, bringing skilled practitioners to areas of the state long in need of quality care, although many doctors have cut back on their insurance, which makes it harder for plaintiffs to collect damages.
Perry, a proclaimed proponent of fiscal conservatism, has often campaigned on tax reform and job growth. Perry resisted creating a Texas state income tax and sales tax increases, protected the state's "Rainy Day fund", balanced the state budget as required by state law, and was reelected on a platform to reduce property taxes that exploded with the inflation of property values in the late 1990s and the 21st century. However, shortly after taking office, he backed down from the reduction of residential property taxes. He has been credited with attracting thousands of jobs to Texas in recent years.
In 2005, Perry, a social conservative, signed an abortion bill that limited late term abortions and required girls under the age of eighteen who procure abortions to notify their parents. Under criticism from advocates of choice, Perry signed the bill in the gymnasium of Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Worth, an evangelical Christian school.
Perry is also known for his socially conservative views on homosexuality. He condemned the United States Supreme Court decision in Lawrence vs. Texas striking down sodomy laws and called Texas' last such law "appropriate."
The following has been my only big issue with Governor Perry. But to his credit, he listened to the people and recanted his earlier stand on the project…. Perry has been the lead proponent of the Trans-Texas Corridor, a $145+ billion-dollar project that would encompass multi-lane highways, rail and utilities, speeding the movement of people, products and power across the state. Instead of raising taxes to pay for the project, the project was proposed to be partially financed, partially built and wholly operated by private contractors who, in exchange for a multi-billion dollar investment, will receive all toll proceeds, notably Cintra, a Spanish-owned company, and its minority partner, San Antonio-based Zachry Construction Corporation, one of Texas' largest road construction companies. Some of the more controversial aspects of the project include tolls, private operation of toll collections (at rates set by local municipalities), and extensive use of eminent domain (or the option for landowners to maintain a lucrative equity stake in the project) to acquire property.
Perry has come under fire for opposing the public release of the actual terms of the 50-year deal with Cintra to the public for fear they would chill the possibility of the company's investment; Perry's former liaison to the legislature and expert in public-private partnership, former State Senator Dan Shelly, returned to his consulting/lobbying work with Cintra after securing the TTC deal while on the state payroll. All of Perry's gubernatorial opponents opposed the corridor project. The 2006 state party platforms of both the Democratic and Republicans parties also opposed the current corridor legislation. In August, 2008, Perry co-signed a letter indicating his interest in exploring a variety of approaches to meeting the state's transportation infrastructure needs.
Thank the Good Lord…….Rick Perry supports the death penalty. Perry has been criticized by anti-death penalty groups including some human rights organizations worldwide. Under Texas law, the Board of Pardon and Parole must make a recommendation to commute such a sentence, which the Governor is free to ignore, but the reverse is not true - if the Board does not make such a recommendation the Governor cannot then commute the sentence. The only power the Governor has is to issue one, 30-day reprieve.
This issue is in the forefront in our nations politics right now with the “cap and trade” bill still at play….Perry rejects regulation of greenhouse gas emissions because he says it would have "devastating implications" for the Texas economy and energy industry. Many environmentalists consider this position to be shortsighted and alarmist. Of course, those of us that are normal applaud his stand.
I am a huge proponent of the Tenth Amendment (as are most Texans) so I am very happy to see the Governor stand up to Washington and endorse this resolution……..In April 2009, Perry endorsed a resolution supporting state sovereignty as reserved by the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. On April 9, 2009, Gov. Perry said, "I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state. That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states' rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union."
FYI, most of the people that I know are pro-secession……At a tea party protest held on April 15, 2009, Perry said, "Texas is a unique place. When we came into the union in 1845, one of the issues was that we would be able to leave if we decided to do that...My hope is that America and Washington in particular pays attention. We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, who knows what may come of that." This has been regarded by some as a strong suggestion by Governor Perry about on his thoughts on secession of Texas from the Union. In reference to Perry's comments, a spokesperson said that Perry "never advocated seceding". According to Time magazine, experts say that Texas cannot legally secede but it may split into five states.
There is more to learn about Governor Perry but let’s not over-saturate our brains. To read more about him, go to the link below. The next time we will focus on Kay Bailey Hutchinson. She too is a fascinating candidate and I expect the race between the two to be exciting.

Strategy Of A Madman
Did you ever play Stratego when you were a kid? My brothers would keep a game going for a full day or more. I was younger so all I did was watch and ask lots of questions. I am sure it drove them crazy but they were patient with me. Looking back, I guess that is one of the reasons they mastered the game so well. Playing out a good strategy takes patience. Somewhere in Obamas head, there is a strategy. I am just not sure that he has the patience that it takes to win. Not when he is up against the American people. We all know that he has some sort of narcissistic plan to sit on top of his thrown and look down at us peasants but how does he plan to do it?
One way to assure his victory is by making everyone in this country dependent on the government. Well I do believe he is headed in that direction. He is taking away every incentive for people to work and he has set his sights high. Back in the day, mothers used to dream of their daughters marrying bankers or doctors. Financial security was a given in those professions. Today…not so much. First he took on corporate America. The banks, mortgage companies and automobile executives were bought out all under the pretense of “helping the country”. Those are some pretty high-end executive positions. Not anymore, those are now government jobs. Now, with ObamaCare, he is attempting to take all incentives away from the medical profession. Why would anyone want to put forth so much blood, sweat and tears to get through medical school to only have the government dictate their practice?
Let us not forget our Engineers. The “cap and tax” bill is aimed directly at destroying those of us that make a living building and maintaining our petrochemical facilities. And it is being done all under the guise of global warming. Give me a break. He is using the “green” movement to push through his agenda. Being in the engineering business I have watched the Obama effect on this industry. Our area was booming until November 4. Like turning off a water faucet, work just stopped. And it hasn’t gotten any better. Everyone is afraid to spend a dollar. Some firms in our area have actually closed up. That means hundreds of people in this one area have lost their jobs. It is heartbreaking. This area revolves around these refineries and chemical plants. Over the years, we have grown tremendously. And it is all due to the work force the petrochemical industry sustains. From where I sit, it looks like those days are over.
What about the lawyers? No way. He will leave them alone. He needs them to go through our Constitution and Bill of Rights line by line and rip it to shreds. As for the rest of us, we will sit in our little huts and grovel for the mere morsels that “big brother” tosses down to us.
Obama is attempting to systematically take out the top wage earners first which will then have a domino effect on the rest of the country. No big business, no supporting jobs. We are then in the same boat as the European countries. You know the ones that am referring to. You have seen them in movies. Old men are sitting on street corners in tattered jackets. And old women with scarves on their heads are sweeping the stoop. Not a pretty picture right? But I do believe that is part of Obamas big plan. You see, he doesn’t just want to run this country, he wants to run the world. By crippling us, he can create his “one world government”. That is his ultimate goal. He and his administration salivate at the mere thought of it. Pelosi can then flitter back and forth from Paris to Washington in her air bus all she pleases. Obama will no doubt have a group of Columbians living in the bowels of the White House rolling his cigars. He can then share them with Castro and Achmadenijad when they come for the monthly poker game. Then all of the elitists will gather and sit around sipping wine and eating grapes while we vermin stand around trash can fires.
Well that may be his plan. But, one thing that he didn’t count on was the uproar that came from the American people when he tried to put his strategy in place. He thought that being “the one” gave him cart blanch to do whatever he wanted to do without a question being asked. I’m afraid it ain’t so Barry. Some things are worth fighting for and some things are worth dying for. This Nation is at the top of both of those lists. If he had studied his history instead of trying to make it, he would have known that.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them...... Thomas Jefferson
Call, write, fax or email your representatives. Tell them to vote no on healthcare reform and the “cap and tax” bill. It’s their jobs at stake this time!!

Washington...Don't Mess With Texas
The Great State of Texas has managed to continue to hold its own in these difficult economic times but according to a global consulting firm, CRA, that could all change this Fall. The American Clean Energy Act will be debated in the Senate this fall after passing narrowly in the House in June. If this bill passes, it will have devastating effects on an already weakened economy. The article below lays out the impact to the Lone Star State in greater detail.
It is imperative that we continue to press our representatives to vote down this bill in the Senate. I venture to say that those in the House that voted “aye” to this bill have already sealed their fate. We can’t allow the healthcare debate to monopolize all of our time and attention. Americans need to develop our own line of strategy. Divide and conquer. Some of us should stay focused on the healthcare issue while others should veer back to the Clean Energy Act. We must persist and perserveer. Like annoying Texas sized mosquitoes, we need to continue to buzz their ears. Irritate and annoy them into listening to what the people want. And remind them if they ignore “we the people” the sting is coming….on election day.
Please call, write, email and/fax your local and state representatives. Let them know what you expect of them. While you’re at it, remind them of the Tenth Amendment.

Waxman-Markey Could Eliminate Nearly 350K Texas Jobs - API
by American Petroleum Institute
August 17, 2009
As many as 341,000 jobs would be wiped out in Texas if a climate change bill passed in the U.S. House of Representatives becomes law, a study shows. The average Texas household would see its purchasing power drop by as much as $1,790 a year.
A CRA International analysis of the "American Clean Energy and Security Act", which passed by a narrow 219-212 vote in the House in June, reveals the devastating impact the policy would have on ordinary Texans. The Senate this fall will debate its version of a bill to address climate change.
According to the CRA analysis, the legislation would result in big job losses - 2 million nationwide - and would lead to a 1.3 percent decline in the national gross domestic product in 2030. The average U.S. household would see its purchasing power fall by $910 in 2015 and by $1,170 by 2030.
The CRA study, commissioned by API, shows that nearly 181,000 jobs in Texas would be wiped out by 2015. By 2030, nearly 341,000 jobs will be lost. The job losses would be felt broadly as output in key sectors like energy intensive businesses, services, and manufacturing all declined.
The average Texas household will see its real household income fall by $1,430 a year in 2015, and by $1,790 a year by 2030. And the state's economic growth would be hobbled by this bill as the estimated gross state product would decline by 0.5% in 2015 and by 1.6% in 2030, CRA said.
The economic toll of the bill would also lead to a big reduction in Texas state revenue from tax receipts. Tax revenues would shrink by $1.1 billion in 2015 and by more than $2 billion in 2030, taking away much-needed funds that could be used for schools, hospitals and police and fire departments.

Silent Invasion
For the past few weeks, we have been focusing most of our energy on making sure that “Obamacare” crashes and burns. Before that, it was “Cap and Trade”. I am sure a firearms ban isn’t far behind. While we are focusing on fighting for less government, Muslims are steady migrating West. As you will read in the article below by Cal Thomas, it is happening at a very rapid pace. I believe that our way of life is in jeopardy and our own president may be keeping us pre-occupied while the deck is being stacked against us not only in the Mid-East, but in the West as well.

PORTSTEWART, NORTHERN IRELAND — The Daily Telegraph’s headline is meant to shock, or at least get the attention of Europeans apathetic about the threat they face: “A Fifth of European Union Will Be Muslim by 2050.”
In a related article “Muslim Europe: the Demographic Time Bomb Transforming Our Continent,” The Telegraph’s lead sentence summarizes the problem: “Britain and the rest of the European Union are ignoring a demographic time bomb: a recent rush into the EU by migrants, including millions of Muslims, will change the continent beyond recognition over the next two decades, and almost no policymakers are talking about it.”
The late British parliamentarian Enoch Powell warned more than 40 years ago that Britain had to be mad to allow in 50,000 dependents of immigrants every year. Powell, who was denounced as a racist and a xenophobe by the intellectual elites, compared it to watching a nation busily engaged in heaping up its own funeral pyre.
In retrospect, Powell looks like a prophet. According to Oxford demographer David Coleman, Britain’s non-white population is on course “to grow from 9 percent at the last census in 2001 to 29 percent by the year 2051.” Coleman estimates that if Britain continues at its current level of immigration — 191,000 per year by 1999 reports — its population could increase by 15 million by 2050, which will bring change most Britons don’t believe in.
In his new book, “Reflections on the Revolution in Europe: Immigration, Islam and the West,” Financial Times and Weekly Standard columnist Christopher Caldwell lays out in undisputable terms and with irrefutable facts the threat faced by the West. He says it is worse than anything al-Qaida can deliver. Caldwell cites numerous reasons for the predicament faced by Europe (and the United States), including the idea of a European Union, which is quickly eliminating individual identity, culture and money (the one size fits all Euro). Without an identifiable culture, immigrants cannot be assimilated, even if they want to be, which in the case of radical Muslims, argues Caldwell, they don’t.
In addition to massive immigration, Caldwell says, the high birth rate among immigrants, coupled with the low birth rate among white Europeans (barely enough in some countries to replace those who are dying) means that soon 20 percent of Europe’s population would be Muslim.
The rapid population change, writes Caldwell, is startling when you consider that as recently as the mid-20th century there were virtually no Muslims in Western Europe. At the turn of this century, there were between 15 million and 17 million Muslims in Western Europe, including 5 million in France, 4 million in Germany and 2 million in Britain. What is the attraction of these countries, which to some Islamic minds are full of idolatry, hedonism and secularism? All one need do is listen to the radical sermons and the vitriolic statements of certain Islamic leaders and spokesmen and to the radical Islamic media. They say their goal is to subjugate Europe and America to their religion.
At a recent conference near Chicago called “The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam,” Imam Jaleel Abdul Razek responded to a question from the audience about whether the U.S. Constitution or Sharia law should rule the United States when Islam is in control. Razek said Sharia would rule and that the Constitution would have to go.
Caldwell writes that uncontrolled immigration without assimilation “exacts a steep price in freedom. The multiculturalism that has been Europe’s main way of managing mass immigration requires the sacrifice of liberties that natives once thought of as rights.”
Those who support immigration without assimilation claim the West needs more brainy people to run their computers and discover cures for diseases. Why can’t our school systems produce more intelligent people without having to import them? More than “brains” are coming to the West. Those with a radical theological and political agenda are infiltrating us more effectively than our enemies of the 20th century ever dreamed of doing.
Twice in the last century America has delivered Europe from homegrown evil. It won’t be able to do so again when that evil is imported and when America is dealing with immigration problems of its own.

Pat Yourselves On The Back America
I am so proud of the American people. For years we have raised our families, gone to work and paid our taxes expecting those that we put in office to take care of the business that we entrusted them with. Unfortunately most of those that we entrusted with our country’s business have cheated, lied and manipulated the office which they have held. But not any more! We the people have made a stand and we say “enough is enough”. We will not be put upon by our own government any longer. They work for us….not the other way around. This isn’t some third world country where people sit around waiting for someone to hand us a bowl of mush while we grovel in gratitude at their feet. This is the United States of America. Granted, there is a small faction of our society that does wait for Uncle Sam to take care of them. Some have a choice in the matter while some do not. We need to weed them out as best we can. But the vast majority of our citizens work hard for their money and they deserve to do with it what they choose. It is not the business of a group of pompous and arrogant representatives to tell Americans how they must live or how they must spend their money. That isn’t part of the deal. Perhaps they should stick to the most common duty of a congressman which is to act as a conduit between the federal government and the local authorities and residents of the areas they represent. What a novel idea, right?
This country did not become the great Nation that it is by sitting idly by waiting for someone to take care of us or something to happen. We may be a young Nation compared to most but we have definitely risen to the top of the list in the short amount of time that we have been here. The people of this nation are strong and driven to succeed. We stick together in a crisis but depend on ourselves to take care of business. That is what makes us so great. We can disagree with a neighbor one minute and help rebuild their home in the wake of a catastrophe the next. How awesome a people is that? We may not have been paying attention to what our own government has been up to for the last few decades, but we are certainly paying attention now. We will no longer sit quietly nor allow any individual entrusted with our country’s well being take advantage the privilege of serving such great people…..the American people. There are people watching each and every elected official in some form or fashion and we are getting the word out across the country. Our elected officials will either do what we the people ask them to do or they can go home. Cut and dry.
All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.

A Few Screws Loose
This Summer has had some of the mildest temperatures ever recorded and yet some yahoos are still crying “global warming”. The lack of named storms in the Atlantic should be a clue to the “green” idiots that climate change is a pile of malarkey. But there are thousands of brainwashed individuals out there and they need some sort of an agenda to latch on to that will give them purpose in life. Unfortunately for them, their purpose in life is all without merit.
Below is an article from the Detroit News. I found it so absolutely ridiculous that I just had to share it. This woman has totally lost her mind.
Detroit, Mich. - Michigan just experienced its coldest July on record; global temperatures haven't risen in more than a decade; Great Lakes water levels have resumed their 30-year cyclical rise (contrary to a decade of media scare stories that they were drying up due to global warming), and polls show that climate change doesn't even make a list of Michigan voters' top-ten concerns.
Yet in an interview with the Detroit News Monday, Senator Debbie Stabenow (D., Mich.) - recently appointed to the Senate Energy Committee - made clear that fighting the climate crisis is her top priority.
"Climate change is very real," she confessed as she embraced cap and trade's massive tax increase on Michigan industry - at the same time claiming, against all the evidence, that it would not lead to an increase in manufacturing costs or energy prices. "Global warming creates volatility. I feel it when I'm flying. The storms are more volatile. We are paying the price in more hurricanes and tornadoes."
And there are sea monsters in Lake Michigan. I can feel them when I'm boating.
Sounds like the ramblings of a mad-woman doesn’t it?
(Sidebar: I hope the Eagles don’t win a single game this year. I should have known they would play that sadistic jerk Vick.)

Such Hypocrisy
An association of men who will not quarrel with one another is a thing which has never yet existed, from the greatest confederacy of nations down to a town meeting or a vestry.
Thomas Jefferson
I found this particular quote from Jefferson to be quite relevant at this time in history. The hypocrisy of the “Left” is absolutely atrocious in this arena. Hillary Clinton screeched her mind about being “sick and tired” of people labeling questioners of the Bush administration as unpatriotic and the “Left” rallied around her. But now that the vast majority of Americans are questioning Obama, we are unpatriotic. Apparently their hypocrisy knows no bounds because now not only are the Americans that have questions and/or are against these radical policies unpatriotic, we are considered Nazi’s.
Let’s look at the definition of a Nazi shall we?
Na⋅zi
–noun
1. a member of the National Socialist German Workers' party of Germany, which in 1933, under Adolf Hitler, seized political control of the country, suppressing all opposition and establishing a dictatorship over all cultural, economic, and political activities of the people, and promulgated belief in the supremacy of Hitler as Führer, aggressive anti-Semitism, the natural supremacy of the German people, and the establishment of Germany by superior force as a dominant world power. The party was officially abolished in 1945 at the conclusion of World War II.
2. (often lowercase ) a person elsewhere who holds similar views.
3. Sometimes Offensive. (often lowercase ) a person who is fanatically dedicated to or seeks to control a specified activity, practice, etc.: a jazz nazi who disdains other forms of music; tobacco nazis trying to ban smoking.
–adjective
4. of or pertaining to the Nazis.
Funny, I don’t think that the Americans showing up to ask questions at these meetings are the ones being called socialists. The only people being labeled as socialists are the lefties. They believe that they are superior and want to suppress anyone who doesn’t not fall under their spell. They are trying desperately to control every aspect of our cultural, economic and political activities. Seriously, who are the Nazi’s here? Not to mention, Pelosi, spewed that accusation pretty freely. The horrendous misery that so many suffered at the hands of the Nazi’s is not something that anyone in this country can compare our lives to. It is a disgrace and insult to the victims that lived through that Hell and to those that did not make it out alive. Those who dare make such comparisons had better mind their tongues because someday we will all stand before God and face his final judgment. Of course if you tend to believe Nancy Pelosi’s blasphemous statement, “you don’t need God anymore, you have us democrats” you probably aren’t concerned about it at all. Now that’s the epitome of a feeling of supremacy (note….see definition 1 above)
In the quote from Thomas Jefferson above, it is quite evident that arguments and heated debates are predictable at gatherings of people who feel strongly about something. And God knows, I and millions like me feel very strongly about preserving our Country and all that it was founded upon. Our founding fathers left us a wonderful guide for running this country…The Constitution. Perhaps we should try protecting it from those who wish to destroy it. Apparently doing so is the new definition of Nazi and it now describes someone who loves their country and will defend her as long as God gives him/her breath. Well, if doing so brands me the title of Nazi, then so be it. God and I know the real truth and that is all that matters to me.

Put Them In Their Place
A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government. Thomas Jefferson
That is the message that our elected officials need to realize. It is time that they let go of their arrogance and succumb to the fact that they merely work for the people of this country….they do not rule the people of this country. We do not need a group of puppets that can’t even read and understand a healthcare bill to run every aspect of our lives. They are elected to bring our wishes and fights to Washington….not to impose their wishes upon us.
Every generation needs a new revolution.
Thomas Jefferson
I do believe that our representatives will come to understand this in 2010. Voting day will tell the tale of each of their careers. Our generation will have its revolution on that much anticipated day.

They Just Don't Get It
Have you ever felt the need to chunk the nearest object at your television while watching the news? Boy I sure have and last night was one of those times. I watched as every pundit took a turn at analyzing the American citizens showing up for town hall meetings. I kept yelling at them, not that they could hear me, “You just don’t get it”. They continually made the actions of our citizens a “party” issue. This has nothing to do with party affiliation. Just like the tea parties, there are democrats, republicans and independents at these meetings. The people are sick and tired of “big brother” interfering in our lives. I have heard crowd members yell out at these meetings, “It’s not about healthcare…it’s about freedom.” We are perfectly capable of making our own decisions. We don't need politicians to do it for us. We have told them again and again that we will fire them for trying. And yet they still don’t get it.
I was really disappointed last night listening to Mort on Fox News (the only station that I watch) completely misconstrue the reason “we the people” are rallying at these meetings. It isn’t to shout down the explanation of the healthcare bill, it is to let these congressmen know that we want smaller government. And when I heard one congressman yell at a man in the audience to “Shut Up”, boy did my feathers get ruffled. They work for us. And yet they still don’t get it.
We tell them what to do, not the other way around. I shook my head in disbelief as I watched the news anchors and the videos of these town hall meetings. Have none of these idiots ever read the constitution? Shouldn’t that be a prerequisite to the position of any public office? I would certainly think that it would be a good idea. We the people, do not want a career politician serving us. We want normal people that have normal lives to vow to spend a couple of years of service representing his or her district or state. Not people that have decided to make a career out living off of taxpayers. Especially the ones that don’t listen to the people that they are representing.
So I recommend that we vote them all out and start all over. We should also put term limits on congressmen. That would certainly help to eliminate “career politicians”. They should no longer receive the salaries and perks once they are out of office either. Back to work they go just like everyone else on the block. We will place a flag pole in their front yard to acknowledge their sercvice. Maybe if we make all of these changes they will finally “get it”.
Call, write, email or fax your congressman….let them know 2010 is getting closer.

Taxpayer Funded Abortions Via ObamaCare
We all know that this Health care legislation mess before Congress is a terrible idea with ridiculous requirements. But did you know that it would allow a new government-sponsored insurance plan to cover abortions? Hold the phone you left-winged jerks. Under no circumstances do I want my money going to pay for the murder of innocent babies. It is a complete contradiction to my religious beliefs and the last time I checked, there is supposed to be a separation of church and state. Or does that just work for atheists?
I realize that the Obama administration wants to control every aspect of our lives, including whether or not we continue to multiply, but they are really stepping over the line here. They can believe he is God all they want to, but he isn’t. Therefore, the miracle of childbirth is out of his job description. What’s next, mandatory abortion for all non-black elitists? Don’t smirk, it would not surprise me in the least. I recall a comment made by Barry that he wants to "restore science to its rightful place”. According to LiveScience, a study was performed by statisticians at Oregon State University. It concluded that in the United States, the carbon legacy and greenhouse gas impact of an extra child is almost 20 times more important than some of the other environment-friendly practices people might employ during their entire lives. Well that plays right into the lefts fake “the world is burning” agenda. That is just the kind of scientific study that they need to try and justify that “we the people” should pay for women to kill their unborn children.
I am not sure what repulses me more; the thought of funding baby murders or the fact that these idiots are asking me to do it, doesn’t surprise me. I actually expect it from them. Next thing you know divorces will be forbidden because its splits a family in two. That means two separate homes burning greenhouse gases. Maybe the powers that be will deny overweight people food because producing food causes global warming. (I guess I should go back over the healthcare bill to see if I missed that one.) You think I jest but they have already completed the studies. Read the article at http://www.usnews.com/articles/science/environment/2009/08/03/save-the-planet-have-fewer-kids.html
Honestly, I am beginning to think that Hitler didn’t have squat on this guy.
Call your Congressmen, Senators and other elected officials. Make sure that they know we are watching every move they make and 2010 is just around the corner.

More On ObamaCare
The AP reported that…..Democratic leaders on Monday promised to push a sweeping health care bill through the Senate whether they get Republican support or not. Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., the third-ranking Senate Democrat, raised the prospect of the leadership crafting a bill to Democratic specifications and using a rare legislative procedure to expedite legislation fulfilling President Barack Obama's top domestic priority. After numerous delays, three Democrats and three Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee are facing a Sept. 15 deadline to wrap up secretive talks and come up with a plan.
That being said, let’s look at what this healthcare bill is shaping up to look like shall we….
